Gaslighting is a drag. It is like slogging through knee deep mud not knowing you can be swimming in clear water.
A dark poem
That’s gaslighting!
She said in a serious tone.
I had to ask.
What is that?
I didn’t know.
The word, forgot.
But what was described,
I had learned on my own time.
When love bombing ends,
That’s when it begins
Gaslighting is when an agreement is broken,
Unspoken.
But you can feel,
A portal’s been opened.
Like coming home late,
and you say, ‘It’s past eight.’
Without tact,
They reply back,
How could you?
And Don’t you trust me like that?
Then deflect.
Back to you.
And say they just
can’t….
No answer given.
Confusion message.
Gaslighting is
Moving your keys, purse or watch,
Consistently,
Then crazy you’ll be
Looking for these things.
Then saying to you,
You’re flaky these days,
and maybe should be
More careful anyway.
Making you arrive late
At an Important
Time and date.
Gaslighting is…
Laughing at you in front of others,
But playing it off,
Like they think you are ‘tender’.
Gaslighting is
Very subtle sometimes.
An insinuation
Like, Are you going to wear that tonight?
Now you may be more smart,
Than to fall for that art.
But, if not, you are in circles.
And the last thing they want,
Is for you to communicate with others.
Gaslighting is pushing on your wound.
The one that you told them,
When things were so new.
It is just enough,
Push the button,
Not too much.
or you will start to wonder.
And right when you’re about to quit,
They will pull out a trick.
A promise that things will get better.
They need your supply,
A little longer to get by.
Until they’ve used you up.
Take actions not words
or your memory will blur.
Gaslighting is
a way to control,
To legally bring
You down to your knees.
Just set the scene,
it takes some time,
and a cruel mind.
Leave a few breadcrumbs,
Down the line.
And you are sublime.
Pull all the stops,
And all the pet peeves.
The tone is set,
For you to just scream.
The Grand Finale,
You get angry,
Recording on screen.
And when this happens,
Scenario #3
Straight from the playbook,
It’s really too easy.
Scenario Three
She’s gone crazy!
Bipolar!
Mad!
It really does make me sad.
Wouldn’t you agree,
It’s time to be medicated.
I’ve already convinced,
Your Parents.
…..You Good, Bobbie?
