For some of us, sugar is so delicious it can be easy to go overboard and start having dessert every day, even twice a day, or sprinkled into every meal.
If you are hoping to avoid disease related to increased sugar, try focusing on all the flavors, not just sweet.

Cutting back on sugar was so impossible to me at the time that I really got creative with it. It was so hard that I used a lot of strategy and technique to win because I couldn’t always rely on willpower. I started thinking about what foods do I love that are not sweet? What flavors do I like?
Some random foods that I just love that were really helpful. Some of these seem strange and they were to me as well when I thought about what flavors I really loved. The thyme seasoning comes from thanksgiving stuffing, a personal favorite. So I sought out the flavor inside so I could duplicate it.

- Random spices I love: Thyme seasoning, ranch dressing. The results are endless.
Asking the question to oneself: What do I want to eat today that fuels my body (and is not sugar)? And waiting for the answer.
We can not control so many things but we do get to choose our food. This is something to relish.
