My Netflix is set to France, so that may affect availability.
4 Good Days
I know I have enjoyed a real piece of art when I keep thinking about it long after the show is over. I was on the edge of my seat for this and It is not an action thriller. It is a story about a girl trying to get clean and it is told so well. I did not even recognize Mila Kunis at the beginning. This is a look inside what overcoming addiction looks like and just how important the support person is. In order for her to succeed after years of addiction, her mother had to also go through it, played by Glenn Close. What she learns after every failure is just how tough she has to be with her. You are rooting so much for both of them.
Every scene tells an important part of how it affected everyone in the family. There is a scene where the mother is trying to have lunch with her other daughter and I was just yelling at the screen. You see how it takes one moment to lose. Lose hope. Lose trust. Lose a love.
Loudermilk
As obnoxious as the name, so it may seem is the main character, but you will find him growing on you. He is the kind of person that tells people when they look like shit, even on the street. This brought me back to a lovely time period where there are cute coffee and book shops, record shops and people walked down the street. The way things fall apart are just like real life.
There is a really heartfelt moment where Claire stops someone from losing. This really brings the darkness to light in the story of life. We all really hope to be looked after in the world and to find this in strangers.
There are a lot of corky characters that really make it so funny. The success of a show can be measured by how much it is quoted. This show has a high number of those. I rewatched some scenes several times. Tick Tock…
Then there is the episode with the 69 on the door. Exit? If you are paying attention to 4 Good Days, you will also see that number show up.
You’ll be reaching for your Shazam on this show. The music list is very good. Unfortunately, I buzzed right through it and now there are no seasons left. Seriously Hoping for more. It is good enough to watch again. I hope Cutter and the vegan gang come back.
